Dean Reyes served in simultaneous roles at the University of Arkansas: vice provost for distance education, associate dean for undergraduate studies and executive education at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, and as a full professor at the business school in the department of economics.
Dean Reyes has an outstanding background as an expert in global economic matters. That expertise will be extremely beneficial in positioning B&E as a top business school that prepares students for the global marketplace.
He is an accomplished researcher and has published articles in leading economics and business journals.
He managed the successful expansion of undergraduate enrollment at the Sam M. Walton College of Business growing the program by more than 2,000 students, which is a long-term initiative at B&E.
He has been highly successful in his development and cultivation of relationships with industry to support academic programs, as well as the fruitful growth of executive education programs.
He serves in the inaugural TIAA National Hispanic Advisory Council and the national board of directors for the University Professional and Continuing Education Association.
Dean Reyes helped develop and establish a global engagement office in the Walton College and worked with faculty to establish study abroad programs on several different continents.
He planned and implemented a faculty training program for the development of online courses.
Dean Reyes is an award-winning educator and an innovative leader in learning technologies. At the University of Arkansas, he strategized and completed the development of new online programs in six different academic colleges. As an expert in distance education, Dean Reyes will help position B&E as a top level provider of relevant online business programs.
He has experience in investment banking and has been a visiting scholar at several international institutions; he has served as grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation and as an invited academic scholar for the International Monetary Fund.
He was named to the region’s “40 Under 40” by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal in 2011.
He was inducted into the teaching academy for the University of Arkansas.
