Dr. Cassie Leonard is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides both obstetric and gynecologic care to women in the WVUH serving area. She is a graduate of the WVU School of Medicine and completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Leonard is currently the principal investigator for the Drug Free Mom and Baby Project in Morgantown, WV. This  program entitled “ACE ” (assisting, connecting and encouraging) serves pregnant women with substance use disorder and helps them achieve a healthy pregnancy. She is also the principal investigator for the WV Healthy Start/HAPI Project, a home visitation program for promoting healthy pregnancies in underserved areas of WV. Dr. Leonard is a passionate advocate for women’s health issues and family planning.
